The beautiful flowers were gifted to me on Monday to celebrate 2 years at Mornington Peninsula Chiropractic :)

Here are the top three things that have made a difference in my week.
They might also be useful for you, or not.

1) Losing someone you love...

This week has probably been one of the hardest in a long time. We lost our beautiful Auntie over the weekend to a lung condition that she fought for a very long time. Looking back at her life, there were only positive memories I have of her. Never once did any of us hear her complain about anything or her illness. She took it on and fought till her last breath and was thankful every step of the way. She consistently had this calmness around her that was always contagious. She always looked at the bright side, the glass half full, the positives in the midst of the negative. So this week, I've decided to try that on. Every time something goes wrong or doesn't work out the way I wanted it to, I try to find that little light in the darkness.

This is something we can all do, because as the quote above says ‘We don't learn much when everything goes right, but we learn the most when everything goes wrong’.

2) Don't use your phone while driving please...

We always see the ads on the tv or on the streets but do we actually do as we are told? Do we follow the speed limits and give our full undivided attention to the roads in front of us?

Wednesday night driving to a friend's house, stopped at a red traffic light. Patiently waiting for the traffic light to go green, I look up to my rear view mirror and a red hatchback is speeding towards me. Foot on the accelerator and looking down at her phone, she rear ended me and pushed my car into the middle of the intersection. So please don't use your phones on the road and on the other hand please be careful out there. You might be doing all the right things, but we can't trust those around us on the road.

3) Two years at MPCC...

Onto more exciting and positive news. It's been 2 years since I joined the amazing team at MPCC, and what a journey it has been. Looking back at myself walking into the front door of the practice 2 years ago and comparing that to who I am today, I can't even begin to explain the difference. Blessed to be mentored by the amazing Dr. Ben, to shape me into the Chiropractor I am today and the whole Carvosso family who make me feel as one of their own. This place is not just another workplace for me, but its family. It's actually my safe place. Getting up every morning, despite not being a morning person, and getting to do what I love most is the best feeling in the world. I love coming in and seeing everyone's bright smiles and helping you all become better versions of yourself and achieving optimal health. Prior to MPCC I didn't necessarily love being a chiropractor and this was purely due to the practice I was in. So I woke up one day and said that I wanted more, I want to love and be passionate about my career again. So I went and put myself out there until I found the perfect place for me. We are not going to get everything right the first time, but when you finally do it makes it that much sweeter!

I wish you all the best on your journey, make a ritual of looking for the gold in your life, it is there, you just got to look.

P.s. The quote of the week is...

“We don't learn much when everything goes right. We learn the most when things go wrong.” Simon Sinek

I would love your feedback on what had an impact on you and the lesson in it, the moral of the story, or the learning you would share.

Have a ripper finish to your week.
