Meet Lord Bromley. Our new member to the Carvosso family.
Bromley is a male Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy who as of today is 10 weeks old.
Growing at the rate of 2kg per week at the moment he I on his way to being a big 45-50kg softie.
This morning after a rough night (for all members of our family) he was tired out at 6 am when we headed off for our walk.
In fact, he wouldn't get out of the car preferring to recline in the heated front seats and stay asleep.
Who’s got some puppy training tips? Please send me anything you’ve got, I need them ASAP.

Here are the top three things that have made a difference in my week.
They might also be useful for you, or not.

1) A golden oldie that I revisited last week as I was convalescing in my recliner with a sore eye...

Star Wars Trilogy

Despite watching most of it with one eye, after Lord Bromley scratched my left eye the week before, it is an amazing story. My take home from it was the idea that the force is within all of us, however, when used in fear it can turn us to the dark side. I know that has been true for me, when in fear my energies get turned to anger, frustration, procrastination, blame, and excuses (the list could go on). I’ve also noticed that when I can catch myself early when the fear starts to rise and the dark (un resourceful) behavior begins, I can avoid going down that path. Instead choosing to soften, be more flexible, and kind to myself and others. Far, far from being good at this it’s something I continue to work on and the Star Wars series was a great reminder of the daily choice I get to make.

2) Terrific podcast about genetics, disease, and gut health...

Rich Roll Podcast and Tim Spector

Tim is a super interesting researcher who was behind the twin's research project. Looking at the health etc of identical twins throughout their life. The results of the study are fascinating and have transformed how many think about health and the effects lifestyle (especially nutrition) plays in how our health turns out.
If you are looking for some inspiration to make some change and to get back on track with your health this is definitely worth a listen..

3) A run festival the family went to last weekend...

The Great Ocean Road Run Festival

The environment is so important to our performance, and to be in the presence of thousands of fun runners and some pros were amazing. It's a 2-day event with multiple options from a 10k walk, 6.5k trail run, and 14k road run up to a Marathon and Ultramarathon.
Last year I did the half marathon and my son Logan did the Ultramarathon. This year I did the 14k Road race and the 6.5k trail run, Logan did the Marathon, and the girls did the 5k Road race.

Despite being run around the coastline there were plenty of hills to add to the challenge of wind, rain, and one eye. It’s great to do hard things by choice regularly as it builds the muscle for when you have surprise hard things. When is your next hard thing by choice? What would make you a little nervous but excite you at the same time?
Ps. There is a run festival coming up in June on the Peninsula. Check it out HERE, it could be your next hard thing..

I wish you all the best on your journey, make a ritual of looking for the gold in your life, it is there, you just got to look.

P.s. The quote of the week is...

“Let the past die. Kill it if you have to. It’s the only way to become what you’re meant to be.” - Kylo Ren

I would love your feedback on what had an impact on you and the lesson in it, the moral of the story, or the learning you would share.

Have a ripper finish to your week.
