3 THINGS THURSDAY - 29th Apr 2021

Something I am doing better at... Delegation. I do not know about you, but I’ve always found it hard to spend the money on doing things that I could easily do myself. The things that I could make the time for and at some level feel like they are just things you “gotta do”.

Well, pre-COVID I had started to take my car to Magic Carwash. I had made a deal with myself that I would take my laptop and work in their cafe whilst they washed my car. It helped me justify the $60 it cost to wash it.

This week I started back again, and the pic is me after dropping the car off, about to head into the cafe and write this week's 3 Things Thursday.
Focusing on the things I am “SUPER GREAT AT” rather than “Just OK At” is my mission for the rest of this year.

I know my productivity, quality of work, and end-of-day satisfaction skyrockets when I focus on the “Super Great”.

Ps. The car came out looking brand new. These guys do an amazing job, their attention to detail, service and nothing is a problem attitude is worth experiencing.

1) A new project I am working on...

Partnerships

Every day I do business with amazing businesses. Businesses that provide amazing quality and service. Businesses that would enhance the lives of my clients if they knew they existed. So for the next few weeks, we are creating a select list of high-quality businesses to make available to our Chiropractic Practice Members. Many of these businesses have offered to create special benefits for our Practice Members. Ranging from free services to massive discounts on their products. Our membership gift cards arrived this week, ready for our launch in June. Look out for these cards in the coming weeks.


2) A great fiction book I just finished...

Life or Death by Michael Robotham

Whenever I go on holiday, I read fiction books. It’s the only time I do it and often I’ll get through 3-4 books in a 2-week holiday. On the latest Hobart holiday, I got through 2.5 books. The other .5 I managed to finish off this week.

Life or Death is a crime novel by Australian author Michael Robotham. It won the 2015 Crime Writers' Association Gold Dagger Award. A fantastic book that kept me engaged and committed to finishing even though I was back from holidays. Great read.

3) A great podcast Dr. Callum put me onto...

The Resilient Podcast

Teaming up with one of Australia’s most successful comedians, Ryan Shelton, and his very talented brother Josh van Cuylenburg, Hugh has put together a podcast that is all about how perfectly imperfect we all are. Constantly comparing ourselves to others can not only be exhausting, but extremely harmful. However, when we share our struggles, we start to realize that everyone, no matter how successful, has something they are battling with.

Super interesting and easy to listen to, this one is a real eye-opener and full of insights into our own lives. Check it out.
