3 THINGS THURSDAY - 25th July 2019

Pic of the Week

This week I woke to find my pool starting to empty. Within 4 days it had lost 40,000L. This is a pic of me taking the "plug" out and replacing it with a new one. It took about an hour of duck diving, in 8 deg water because by the end I couldn't stop shaking enough to do the screws up.

Here are the top three things that have made a difference in my week.
They might also be useful for you, or not.

1) Great Movie I've Watched...
Life itself
. Great "meaning of life" movie. For me the key moment was at 1:44 hours where a mother says to her son,

"...you have had many ups and downs in your life. Too many. And you will have more. This is life. And this is what it does. Life brings you to your knees. It brings you lower than you think you can go. But if you stand back up and move forward, if you go just a little farther, you will always find love."

Classic good feel, meaning of life movie with some ups and downs in the storyline. Worth watching cuddled up on the couch with your partner.

2) I Tourist Thing I Did...
Queenscliff Ferry.
Like going on a weeks luxury cruise but in just an hour and without the luxury. Seriously though, great views of the bay, Sorrento, Portsea and the heads, and if you are lucky you will see some dolphins. We timed our return trip with a magnificent sunset. $26 return is great value for 2 hours of entertainment.

3) An App I'm Using...
Loom
. Great app you can use to record video from your webcam and or the screen of your computer. I am moving to using it for the feedback I give clients after their coaching sessions or whenever I want to relay the best message possible. Like giving my team instructions on How To's. The receiver gets to see my face, body language, tonality as well as the words I say. Way better than a boring typed email, that often gets left to the receivers interpretation. Super cool and Free for the basic version. Definitely check-it out

Ps. My favorite quote this week is "I can only control myself, my actions, my work ethic, and my attitude." Ali Krieger

I would love your feedback on what had an impact on you and the lesson in it, moral of the story, or learning you would share.

Have a ripper finish to your week.

Cheers, Dr. Ben
