3 THINGS THURSDAY - 22nd Aug 2019

Pic of the Week

A beautiful friend of mine sent me this picture yesterday to cheer me up and give me laugh. It’s from 1990 and I was 22 at the time. It was a shot with 6 of my Chiropractic mates at a beach in Adelaide. Can you pick me? I look at these guys who I occasionally catch up with and I feel like we haven’t aged a bit or is that just because my eyesight is going?

Here are the top three things that have made a difference in my week.
They might also be useful for you, or not.

1) A fantastic 3min Video…

Rise and Shine.

If you have not watched this you MUST. I discovered it years ago, then yesterday I said to my son Logan, “Mate can you send me some motivational tracks you’ve been listening to at the Gym, I need it today”. This clip was attached to his text. You can also get the transcription when you click the link. Maybe print it out and read it just before bed.

2) An online tool for transferring money internationally…

Orbit Remit.

This great online tool allows you to transfer money overseas with our great exchange rates and a flat fee of $4. The website has all the exchange information set out for you. Great for those of you sending money to your tax free haven. For me I use it to pay my amazing VA Jo, who is in the Philippines. She helps me out with some projects like this 3 Things Thursday Blog, and keeping track of my “To be done on’s”.

3) Something I’m doing better at…

DELEGATION!

As I mentioned above, I have started to work more with my VA Jo, to help me do more of what makes a difference. The things that I’m good at I want to do more, and the things I suck at or just don’t like doing I’m starting to delegate. I’d love to know if you have managed to delegate well and how you have done it. Send me an email with your tips and experience. If you’re not delegating who could you delegate to? (Person or Technology) How could you better spend your time, money and energy?

Ps. My favorite quote this week is“Be willing to go all out, in pursuit of your dream. Ultimately it will pay off. You are more powerful than you think you are.” – Les Brown

I would love your feedback on what had an impact on you and the lesson in it, moral of the story, or learning you would share.

Have a ripper finish to your week.

Cheers, Dr. Ben
