Pic of the Week

Early morning run along the foreshore at Surfers Paradise I got to witness this beautiful sunrise. Interestingly new research is showing that sunlight (infiltered) is one of the most beneficial things for our entire body health. Whilst I agree that in the middle of the day we need to find ourselves in the shade, the early morning sun has so many health benefits. Try it. Commit to a week of getting up early enough to see the sunrise and the day start. Go for a walk or sit and just watch it happen. It’s an amazing way to spend 30min to set you up for the day.


Here are the top three things that have made a difference in my week.
They might also be useful for you, or not.


1) A fantastic speaker I met...

Keith Abraham. An amazing Aussie bloke who has made it big on the speaking circuit internationally. In fact, he was named speaker of the year this year. Best known for his Goal setting strategies that within 1 yr have 49% of people that use it achieve their goal and within 5 years have 79% of people achieving their goals. Which is a seriously high result. Keith was both entertaining and informative. In fact, I was so inspired by his work I have decided to hold a Goal-Setting Retreat in early Jan 2020 for a limited group of invitees’.

Details of this will be out in the next couple of weeks. I will be bringing my Get On T.R.A.C.K. methodology and adding a number of Keith’s key strategies. Keep your eye out for it as the limited seats for this event will sell out fast.


2) Serious progress on the New Clinic (Practice)...

Progress Pictures. I feel like I have been on an episode of the block this last week. In one week I had the following trades onsite: Chippy (sorry carpenter), Plasterer, Electrician, Painter, Timber Flooring Carpenter, Carpet Layer, Joiner, Signwriter, and Skip Guy. Plus a Professional Chiropractor and Massage Therapist to give helpful advice. In 2 weeks, we have gone from basically an empty shell to an almost finished fit-out. I’m so looking forward to you all seeing and experiencing it. It’s very different from our current look and feel, and I think you are going to love it.


3) An activity I did...

Talk to strangers. This last week whilst I was away, I made a point of talking to strangers and being curious about their world. My favorite place to do this was just after my morning run and swim at a place called ESPY on the esplanade in Surfers Paradise. Apart from doing great coffee and amazing artesian croissants, they have communal tables. It made it easy for me to lean over and say, “you local?” It was an opening line that started a curious conversation that revealed some amazing insights. It made me more aware that I don’t know the amazing life stories of the people sitting right next to me and the life lessons they have to share. In fact, a number of great ideas over the retreat came from sitting at the ESPY at 6 in the morning. Give it a go. Done with the right intent you will be amazed at the result.
