Pic of the Week

I’ve been running my Body Lab workshop for over 10 years. Always to a live audience. This week I did it online using Zoom which was super exciting and nerve-racking at the same time. Always nervous when I’m relying on technology, but it worked. In fact I loved it. I’ve got some tweaking to do to the interaction bit, as the chat room text was hard to read which caused me to lean in close to the computer screen giving everyone a crystal clear view of my ear hairs.

Right now given the uncertainty and challenges many of us are facing, what would you like me to do a workshop on?


Here are the top three things that have made a difference in my week.

1) A yummy lunch I’ve been having...

Aldi Broccoli Stem Slaw. With Aldi just behind the new practice, I’ve been taking a walk around every lunch to grab something healthy. This week I discovered their salad packs. A large pack costs just $4. My favorite being the broccoli slaw with cranberries and caramelized onion dressing. It's a big serve of greens. Perfect to grow great healthy gut bacteria. Important as 70% of your immune function comes from the bacteria in your gut. Most Australians sadly have an unhealthy gut microbiome and are setting themselves up for poor immune function and poor mood control. 90% of Serotonin - the chemical responsible for making you feel good is produced by the gut. Without it, you can do states of depression. Great Immune function and mindset are paramount right now for all of us.


2) An interview I had with...

Shane about Money and Thriving in Times of Uncertainty.I’ve been working with Shane for the last 10+ years as my accountant. He’s always been really good at seeing challenges and potential dangers. Sadly, often I haven't always taken his advice at great cost. In this live Facebook interview, we talk about the economy, business and how to survive and set yourself up to thrive in these times of uncertainty. 3) A great podcast I listened to this week...

A Pandemic of Possibility with Rich Roll. Wow, a very different perspective on what our current situation means for us as individuals and the planet. A great conversation that focuses on the opportunity for us to reflect and change our ways. To think about how we need to treat our planet going forward and the role we play in making things better. That the pain we are suffering right now if we pause and take this quiet moment to see the lesson we have a chance to change things for the better. The last 6 minutes is very heartfelt and a call to not let the sacrifices made by many (especially those who gave their life) to not go to waste. Let's learn the lesson and change.
