Pic of the Week

One of our favourite things to do is going to the movies. This week movie cinemas opened up. We were the first customers through the doors of The Palace Cinema’s Como. Spooky to not have anyone around, and the cinema which only seats 16 (it's got those cool recliner seats) have just 8 people in it. We saw an interesting and moving for me called Romantic Road. For me it was about the beautiful bond and understanding that comes from a couple in love for many years (30+). The dance between the two in relation to their strengths and the power of seeking adventure together. That a powerful relationship comes from taking journeys together and persevering through those journeys that don't go to plan. Go see it.


Here are the top three things that have made a difference in my week.

1) Something I started again this week...

Wim Hof.I did a 10-week course in the Wim Hof technique a few years ago, but a mate was wanting to explore it, and Wim had produced a new course so I’m back to daily practice again. Basically, it's about giving your body acute stress, which has been shown to make you stronger, physically and mentally and lead to longevity and increased health span. The Chronic stress that most Australians experience each year unfortunately weakens you and results in disease (mental and physical) and early death. So where does the good acute stress come from? Breathwork, breath hold and cold exposure.

Definitely worth checking out if you are wanting to hit a reset button and shift your health and become resilient and a strong human being.


2) A podcast interview that went live...

Life Long Learner Podcast. This interview was a lot of fun. The only thing missing was the campfire and a glass of red. Basically it became a recording of an eclectic conversation between two mates about everything personal development and how to take back responsibility and gain control of your life.


3) An amazing dinner I had with my love...

Cosi Restaurant.To celebrate Michelle’s birthday again and wrap up our week away in the city we had dinner at this beautiful romantic restaurant. The atmosphere is like you are in Florence Italy, the food, service, decor, lighting, and music take you away. Their theme is “La Dolce Vita” and it’s just like a scene out of the movie. Dress in your best Italian and take your love here. Ps. Ask for the table in front of the fireplace.
