Pic of the Week
One of the great things about lockdown is you get creative with family treat night. This pic is the bonfire from an afternoon of cleaning up all the trees that after 10 years just haven't “made the cut”. The family all sat around with some Uber-eats and watched Michelle entertain us with her epic bonfire building skills. Amazing that it took lockdown for us to do something that for many years as a family was a bit of a Saturday night tradition. Now, what can I cut down for next weekend???
Here are the top three things that have made a difference in my week.
They might also be useful for you, or not.
1) A YouTube interview I listened to...
Michael Greger Interview - Coronavirus. Want to understand some of the science behind COVID from a guy who wrote a book on pandemics? Listen to this guy. Fascinating interview with Dr. Michael Greger. If nothing else his passion is worth watching. He fills in the gaps that are often not explained by some of the policy-makers, including the deal with face marks. One of the only COVID conversations you will listen to that leaves you uplifted.
2) A proud Dad moment ...
Paladin Armoury. My son Logan launched this business 3 months ago when the first COVID lockdown started. It’s a business that sells Premium 3-layer washable protective masks. Unlike most available in the retail space, these are 100% manufactured in Victoria and feature layers of Non-woven polyester (best for filtering) and an inner lining of moisture-wicking antibacterial poly. He has obviously over the last week, seen his hours of working ON the business pay off. There have been trying times, times when the cost of running the business was greater than the income, times when he had to dip into his own bank account to keep it afloat. Def of Entrepreneur: a person who sets up a business or businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of profit. Well done great man.
Ps. If you need masks for your family click the link above and use Discount Code: AG for a 5% discount.
3) Some shoulder saving workout gear I bought...
Push-up Bars. These great grips are fantastic for helping your position your shoulder and wrists for pain-free push-ups. After years of adjusting spines (29 years), my shoulders and wrists do not need the extra stress. These grips help me work out my chest with good old pushups without any pain. These are not just for oldies like me but are perfect for anyone wanting to do pushups in style.
P.s. Quote of the week is...
“Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth.” Oscar Wilde
I would love your feedback on what had an impact on you and the lesson in it, moral of the story, or learning you would share.
Have a ripper finish to your week.
