Pic of the Week
This week we said goodbye to Hudson, our Golden Retriever aged 13. Super tough to be the ones making the decision about another life. The family all gathered at our local Vet once the decision was made and watched him go to sleep. Like most pets he was such a big part of our family, often making a visit to the old practice to come and hang out with Michelle and I and our patients that gave him a week’s worth of attention in one day. His hair on my navy suits will not be missed but his happy go lucky attitude and welcoming wag of the tail will be.
Here are the top three things that have made a difference in my week.
They might also be useful for you, or not.
1) Amazing service I received at a tough time...
Mornington Vet Clinic. As you know from the pic above this week, we put Hudson to sleep. A tough decision that was made much easier with the gentle, beautiful care from Emma, our local vet at Mornington Vet Clinic. Just up the road from our Chiropractic Practice, the team there are fantastic. It’s a profession that I have the utmost respect for. Their ability to communicate and care for animals always blows me away. Thank you.
2) A service we tried for the first time...
Woolworths Online.I know some of you will be thinking Michelle and I are way behind, but I’ve always thought it would be easier to just go in. Well this week we have decided to use a recipe guide for the week. It came with a list of ingredients that you can print out for all the meals in the week. It was super simple for us to go through the online shop and pick out the items on the list. Love it. The only catch is because 95% of all the ingredients are fresh (rather than pantry items) due to our eating style is Keto, Paleo, Plant based some of the ingredients were not available. We will be doing it again.
Have you tried it?
3) Something to keep my hands warm…
Neoprene Swim Gloves. At the moment the bay is about 11deg. After an early morning swim off Oliver’s Hill, it's been taking me 2 hours to get my hands warm again. Enough! So, I got these last week and tried them out on Saturday morning. Game changer. They have made the swim pleasant (after the ice cream headache fades about 200m into the swim) and my hands are warm again within minutes rather than hours. Now for those feet...
P.s. Quote of the week is...
“There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love.” Washington Irving
I would love your feedback on what had an impact on you and the lesson in it, moral of the story, or learning you would share.
Have a ripper finish to your week.
