Pic of the Week
Another beautiful start to the morning down at Mornington Pier. There is something special about the morning sunlight. Whilst we only ever seem to hear about the importance of Vitamin D, which is made by UVB, morning sun is actually incredibly important because it’s saturated in infrared and blue light. There is no UV light first thing in the morning – neither UVA nor UVB.
Sunlight is 42% infrared light. It is important. It stimulates collagen, increases bone healing, and heals wounds. Those of us that rise early and spend at least three minutes exposed to the early morning sun will enjoy all the above health benefits and ultimately increase our longevity.
What time are you getting up tomorrow?
Here are the top three things that have made a difference in my week.
They might also be useful for you, or not.
1) A cool bit of tech...
RODE Wireless Mic. Super excited about this purchase. The team at Mornington Peninsula Chiro is planning on creating a heap of educational videos to help our patients get better faster and stay better longer. As you know we are not about the quick (but temporary) fix. We want to see our patients take control of their health and become the best version of themselves. These super cool mics are going to help us produce quality easy to listen to content. They are wireless, so no painful cords getting tangled as we show you stretches, etc.
2) Great guest in Thrive boardroom - Mentor Live Session...
Christina Robert. Christina is a personal stylist. She shared her strategies, tips, and tricks to present at your best, and feel your most powerful. A different mentor than usual to my exclusive board but one that I think is important to business owners and their teams. How about you? Ready for a brand-new style and revitalized image? One that represents you the high standard you require. I personal stylist might just be the thing. Now, all we need is for the shops to be open again so we can go shopping.
3) Powerful cartoon about leadership...
Leadership on a Submarine. This ripper cartoon exclaims the power of questions over answers. How building a great team is about giving the decision making away and instead, setting intentions. It is a great clip for any business owner, parent, or leader that wants to free themselves and empower the people (or kids around them). Definitely take the 9 minutes to check it out.
P.s. Speaking of empowering people, quote of the week is...
“A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves.” Lao Tzu
I would love your feedback on what had an impact on you and the lesson in it, moral of the story, or learning you would share.
Have a ripper finish to your week.
Cheers Dr. Ben
