Pic of the Week
Out for breakfast on Wednesday morning, I actually sat down in a cafe like a real person instead of wandering around sneaking sips of coffee from a takeaway cup.
Took a drive down to Rosebud, did my usual walk-and-talk with a mate then sat down at the Pier Cafe and had breakfast. (First official sit-down customer in 3months) Got to say though it was all a bit weird. I felt like a wild animal that had been kept caged for years then let out. Not knowing the rules of engagement in the wild again. Feeling unsure of what to do now that I had freedom.
Strange. I am sure it will pass with a few dinners out and a shopping spree. The simple 1st world pleasures.
Here are the top three things that have made a difference in my week.
They might also be useful for you, or not.
1) A wealth of knowledge as PASSION I discovered some people have when I asked...
Mel Ryan from Town Planning and Co a question. What Mel does not know about planning rules IS not worth knowing. After asking Mel a simple question she unpacked all the rules and regulations. Steps to take, and importantly the pathways to make it easy.
It is incredible how much some people know about their area of specialty, and how passionate they are.
I think most of all PASSION is key. Seek advice from someone who is all in with what they do. Like Mel.
2) Excited to announce...
Mornington Peninsula MASSAGE is back open.Great to have Ryan and his team back rubbing out all those knots, twists, and strains in our muscles.
One of the essential keys to health that have returned this week. With the work we all do on a daily basis kids, housework, gardening etc plus the training, running, and gym, muscles benefit from a good squeezing. Not to mention the effect massage has on the mind and helping us relax.
3) An audiobook I am listening to...
The Great Game of Business.Big book. Around ideas I mean. Its principle is everyone has got to understand the number of a business, have a stake in the business’s success and take responsibility for bringing their best. Plus, heaps more. I have only just started it, and already I feel like it is going to be a mindset stretch.
You know what I mean. Those books, documentaries, etc, that excite you but also create some pain.
Do not know if it is worth reading or listening to yet but if you are up for expanding your mind around the game of business it might be for you.
P.s. The quote of the week is...
“Sooner or later, those who win are those who think they can.” - Paul Tournier
I would love your feedback on what had an impact on you and the lesson in it, moral of the story, or learning you would share.
Have a ripper finish to your week.
Are you doing what matters?
